The 2009 Sand City Artist Residency program was an invitation for artists from around the world to work in California’s Central Coast area. The residency program promoted a deeper understanding and connection to our natural world through the fine arts. The resident artists were provided a private room and dedicated space to develop their work for an exhibition at the conclusion of the residency. The average residency lasted for 1 month, and provided artists the opportunity to teach workshops and lecture.
